I have heard Liverpool Victoria have now stopped insuring engine conversions. But for bodywork they are good, so they would probably be your best option to start with and then time your engine conversion to match with the end of the year of insurance and move to another company.

I was told by LV that they don't insure anyone under the age of 21 with a 2.0l, it was there policy.

i would ask for the quote in writing, LV have a habit of giving out quotes then when you go to buy it, their underwriters tell LV to go fuk themselves! and you get left with no insurance

Heard HIC r one of the best lots of me mates use them!
But Almost all of their quotes will be based on your no claims bonus.
And if your 19 with no no claims bonus (like myself) then your goin to have trouble gettin a cheap quote whatever the insurance company!
Hope This Helps
