Alright peeps, just some info for people lookin at getting 17's. Corsa B with 17x7's, et42, not lowered and rear arches are de-bolted. Over bumpy country roads and 3 people in car it scrubs on plastic arch at about 50mph or more, fine any other time. Moral of the story, don't go fast over bumpy roads unless u wanna scrub your tyres and scrape away some of your arch!

To be quite harsh, the moral of the story is to get the right offset for your wheels.
But what you should is shave some plastic off the arches, and when the arches are off tap the metal of the arch out too and then it should fix your problem, then deck in 60mm.

To be fair you are quite right but couldn't get my rims in any bigger offset so that was not by choice. Am lowering it 40mm on suspension kit and getting archwork done then, sooner rather than later hopefully...lol! If only i had a money growing tree

Yeah 40mm should be reasonably attainable without masses of work.

Yeah Oztek you dont have a problem because the wheels are 10mm thinner.
Icy is right, get some better Polyurethane bump stops that wont allow the suspension to travel enough to rub.

Think i'll be getting the bumpstops when i get the suspension sorted, then hopefully all my problems will be solved. Driving around with the 4x4 look now, it ain't good having no money...lol!!
