My wheels are et35, Im gonna be dropping in C20XE, dont need it any lower for daily driving than it already is(its a '96 sport lowered 40mm) but just want better handling one same ride hide. This would mean stiffer suspension i take it?
Oh, and coilovers look good!

Koni coilovers are supposed to be good but If you want the BEST you want to look at K&R, Bilstein and Leda. You'll be looking at around £1000 for any of these I would have thought. Cheeper coilovers are Avo and FK, I've heard decent things about the FK coilovers.

It's unusual that you needed them, but the offset is at the limit for Vauxhall-friendly tolerances.
Plus you can adjust the camber with the FK kit.

I have blistiens on my golf and GAZ on my corsa, both are awesome! Gaz are better for handling though, but it does seem to be true that it is alomst impossible to make a golf VR6 handle

Just to add my 2cents to an old post im using Harry Hockley GrpA Bilstein coilovers, £750 the front pair with springs. They are the oversized 40mm jobbies as used by most of the budget rally cars but are strong as nails. No complains here.
