A re-test every 10-15 years or something would probably help a bit on roads, but anyone over 60 should be shot anyway.

50 is way too young. I'd say 70 to be honest. It is a joke though, nearly been reversed into the otherday as I was waiting at a train crossing Countless other times they just aren't aware of other road users.

Old people are bad but most young drivers are worse. How many little pricks do I see driving their 1.2's around at 60-70 down a 30 in town, handbraking around corners, racing in town etc etc They shouldn't pass their tests in the first place. I reckon 70 should be a re-test or some sort of test. Trouble is so many youngsters wanting to drive nowadays I doubt it will ever happen

old people IMO just dont have the reactions of a 20-30-40 year old - if someone steps out infront of there car - they basically hit

reckon an eyesight test should be compulsory every 5/10 years; then a theory retest at 50 and finally a full retake - which isnt quite as harsh as the standard test at 17+ at about 65

I think every 5 years everyone should take a different kind of test, not the same as your first one, but a quicker, that just covers a few basics. This should help get rid of the old people who simply do not have any reactions, women who cant judge distances or gaps properly. Perhaps the retest should be aimed at testing those thing instead of if you can actually drive

testing the aged would never happen.
as soon as it gets inforced, government will loose all the 'grey' votes.

could u imagine this! old people still hold a large % of votes.

its a bitch tho, feel like ramming some off the road sometimes.

45mph on the m1 in the 3rd lane!!!
and then you get your 82 year old neighbour raggin' her 1.0 litre down you steep road.
Her parking is unbelievable, i'll try to be cunnin and get some pics tmrw.
it takes her 5mins to get in her car as well
