Author help! my car is idling very erratically

over the last few days im having problems with my car, its behaving very odd, when i acclerate it hessitates and also in when idling its wavering between 750 and 900 rpm..

The car is a corsa 1.6 GSi, and was only serviced last month

any suggestions guys or gals?

Possibly the idle control valve?

if ya speedo needle woobles at low speeds then its gonna break, the ecu or something relies on this to rev mine broke & the car kept stalling & cutting out.

take the idle control valve out and clean it.

wel im no mechanic so ill have to get some one to look at it....thanks boys

hope it is the idle valve

its supposed to idle between 750 and 900rpm

Check that the breather hoses going to your cam cover aren't blocked up with shit.

problem is now sorted, i got the mechanic to clean up the idle valve, he said its was gummed up

now the idle is at 850 rpm, and drives smoother too!
