The nova was actually faster in a straight line, they rigged it though... as they usually do.

thankyou vibrio!
its my personal taste, anyway the rover v8 sounds awful compared to a chevrolet v8,
i know someone with a 500 bhp chevvy v8 in an ultima - it will be on channel four soon because he is doing the world record attempts with 10 cars 0-100-0
he is beating the mclaren f1 currently and they go to brunters in 2 weeks for the final session
back to the point screaming bike engine like a r1 or a hyabusa cannot be beaten

Possibly the nicest sound i have ever heard ever
Riiight....
I think u have not heard many tuned cars?? Like a 1.6 16v Corsa at 9000rpm on TB, or a 2.0litre @8500rpm on TB.
V8's sound bloody great, but TB sound sooooooo much better.
And yes, i've heard the Rover, a friends dad at my old rugby team owned one.

Daimo didn't even have to see who wrote that post b4 i knew it was u
Nah tvr's sound sgorg, but nicely tuned up 4 cylendar engines sound nice.
V8's give nice exhaust note, while i prefer the inlet/manifold/induction type noise from 4 cylinder cars
