might be wrong, but isn't .tar associated with Linux?

soz icy wanted to reply earlier, but backing up data from main rig to lappy, and had to finish waiting for it to finish, so I could install an email program, so I could retrieve my password

sok found out what to do with them
unpackin now

* .TAR = Tar archives, usually only used on linux/unix, basically just a way to keep several files in one big file, no compression.
Use WinRar to unpack (www.rarsoft.com) (Should work with winace, winzip etc too).

downloadin LXG now

haven't watched most of the stuff I've got, and I've sold the pc now lol...oh well I'm sure most of them were pure drivle anyway

.tar is a type of compression, using a program like WinRAR i think is able to uncompress files from it.

was a bugger coz had to uncompress them twice!! fillin up twice the space
all gone now tho
