ive got this i cannot figure out how to record from line in? any ideas?

You basically plug something in to your line in and it should pick it up - ive had problems on my 2nd comp that runs Creative Live 5.1 soundcard though.

click on speaker in system tray, select properties from menu, select recording, make sure that 'line in' is checked as the recording souce. have sound forge open at the same time with record open, check the 'monitor' box to watch the levels - if the levels move while something in your line in is playing, then you can record line in!
