my car was reving at 4000 rpm on its own the ecu light had come on. took it to the garage they said it woz the idle control valve after checking it with there diagnostic machine so they replaced the valve and its still reving at 4000 rpm on its own. they now think its the ECU has anyone had his problem before and does anyone know where i can get a cheep ecu? for a 14. sri 16v corsa B. please help me!!!!!!!!!

BREAKERS YARD! i guess thats the only place youwill find a cheap one.

christ could be a number of many things:
Idol control valve
Throttal Positional Sensor
Inlet manifold
Inlet manifold gasket
Map reader
Air mass meter
ECU
1 of the wiring looms
lose connection from 1 of the wires connecting the sensors to the ecu
spark plugs and leads
need i go on lol

take it to a proper vauxhall main dealer!
they know the engines inside out, trust me, its the only place i got o now when my engine ever screws up
