Hey evyerone can anyone help me please as my car sounds like a load of old crap when i brake i brought some greenstuff pads bout 6 months ago and they've done about 5000-6000 miles on them ive put loads of copper grease on them but the still screech and i sound like a real fool
Any advise anyone???

spray them with oil! lol stop the squeekin.. but might affect your braking performance!

hope you chamfered edge of pads 45 degrees before you put em on.
obviously dont take a chunk out of pad, just a little chamfer to edge of pads.

if it is cutting them what should i use? and do you mean literally cut the pad or just slighty shave them?

noooooo chamfer! you know the top and bottom of the brake (as it sits in caliper) you need that face to be chamfered as opposed to what it looks like now.
i cant actually describe it well without having the pad in my hand and showing you.
can anyone else describe it better for him?

no
you need to grind the edges off the shortest length of pads (top and bottom)
basically making sure the edges are at 45 degrees as opposed to 90.....

how come you have to do this with "greenstuff" and not OE pads or do you have to do it with those to cause if you do id get my mate to do it for me as he works at vaux so would they have to do it to the oe pads

you do it on all pads if you dont want em to screach.
i forgot too and mine make a hell of a noise lol cant be arsed sorting it.
use a file to chamfer edge.

every1's going on about the pads here :s what state are your discs in? are they ground to buggery?
