Most turbo'd cars have peak power @ quite low rpm, chip it and they have more power but not at higher rpm.

simple put a biger turbo on my car and I move peak power higher up the rev range cause I can make more boost higher up the rev range.

Standard car 5600rpm
my car 6000rpm
Andy car 6800rpm

will affect the speed at which you can go in all gears. it reduces your gear ratios
