im well pissed of
last nite i desided to sleep at my girlfriends house and i told my bro that there was a slight chance that my quick shift may arrive in the post today, so if the door bell goes, answer it!
and what happens i get back home today to find a card sayin we tried to deliver blah blah...
my fuckin bro was asleep!
so i phoned up the company and i can collect it in basildon today, but after 7pm! or 2mo upto 12noon, or i can get it posted to me on monday!
feckin gay! iv decided il drive up and get it at 7pm 2nite. i may be able to fit it 2nite aswel, if not il do it 2mo.
but its put me in a right mood as i could be fittin it now!
oh well thats life!

right i need some help plz...
i tried fitting the quick sift 2day, but couldnt, as there was fuck all acces to it.
i jacked up my car and put it on axle stands, and i could only just reach the original linkage but i found it far to difficult to do.
i tried from inside the engine bay, i removed the thing infront of the battery (that gvr thingy or watever its called ) and i was gonna move the battery/battery tray but thought it wouldnt help enough. in the end i gave up as i didnt have enough time (i went to see a footy match)
later i went to Evolution and iv booked in my car for tuesday....should cost £25 to do.
but if someone can tell me how to do it before tuesday, then id rather do it myself!
so if anyone could shed some light on how to fit the quick shift...also it looks like the pic on the 1st page of this topic if that helps.
cheers,
james

Its the same as swapping it for a normal gear linkage, look in your haynes manual.

right...aint been on net for a few days...anyway i had the quick shift fitted a week ago.
it took 3 hours to do, a right c*nt to do.
and the adjuster rod needed adusting after fitting it, as you wont be able to get reverse , 1st or 2nd gear without adjustin it.
its made a good difference, its deffinately very noticable, makes diving much more pleasurable.
id describe it as havin a performance cluch fitted as you can change gear quicker and the engine kicks in quicker if u see wat i mean.
just thought id say.
