Good deal Munchie lad. The Copper Jet USB modem i got from Freeserve has slowed my PC down on Boot Up but i can't see any difference anywhere else. I don't really play any games on my PC so maybe that is what these dudes are talking about; i dunno.

kazaa lite n the like make sure the pc is on 24/7 downloading all the time
oh...they did tell u to get a firewall didn't they? altho not as good as a hardware firewall, it's better than nothing.
boyrac3r uses cpu cycles, thus the system runs slower, but if all you do is surf the net etc, like I do now, then it'll be fine.

there's nothing wrong with that modem, we got the first of that type a while back on trial, nothing wrong with it, and if its slowing my PC down i really havent noticed. runs as fast as anybody elses i know with the same spec.

it is a good modem, and its about the only one that supports Linux!
