i want my tailgate bad boy'd over the rear lights but how easy is this to get done? is it legal cos it covers some of the lights? how much would a bodyshop charge?

Depends how you want to do it. You can do it so you cut up the lights, or have the metal overlapping the lights. either way theres alot of work envolved in either getting the new metal to be flush with the rest of the bootlid, or trying to waterproof the butchered lights

you do not need to touch the lights, it works on same principle as bad boy bonnet. they are legallitys lights wise but unsure of those. think going rate for bodyshop is approx £150

yea £150 is well cheap.
i would have thought about £300-400 for a badboyed tailgate and smooth boot.

yeah i do all my own work not really just made a template with card then in metal and bent it to shape then welded it on
