Computer keeps shutting down after this message, can anyone help?

the message reads: "RPC service terminated unexpectedly"

i then have 60 secs to save work before it shuts down.

for some reason it seems to be when i use the internet, i'm on broadband.

and sometimes it does it straight away or after around an hour.

This is why you should really run a firewall on broadband or any internet connection nowadays. Very surprised your broadband ISP doesn't block 135/139 as a matter of course anyway.
