My girlfreinds did that a few weeks ago, pissed me right off
My dad sprayed some WD40 into the key hole, left it for a few minutes put some on key and it turned. Don't know if yours is th same problem but worth a try

Right just had word with my dad, he says you after either put oil or wd40 into the lock barrel but make sure it goes right into it. With my girlfreinds it was some dirt or muck that got into it and made it jam. Once you've got the oil in keep trying to turn key and he says it should free up. Hope this helps, my dad says he had to keep wiggling key around.

Depends if they class it as wear and tear, another great con from the 2nd hand car trader. If you buy the ignition i will send you the paragraph from the haynes book on fitting it, just u2u me or can send it tomorrow if you want to see how hard it is.
