i just got a pair of infinity reference 6*9's off my mate for my new boot install and i want to put them in a box each because im taking the back seats out and the parcel shelf. i need to know what size roughly to build the boxes? i only want nice tight midbass off the 6*9's as i have a 12" type r sub. is it best to use 24mm mdf?

24mm MDF?? tat wud weigh a tone, id sy use 6mm

y use 6*9s if u have 2 type Rs theres no point as u wont here th bass out ov them just get some nice 7" rounds for some nic treble

1'st off wont 6mm mdf rattle like a bitch with the 6*9's pounding on it and secondly i have one type r and the 6*9's will be mainly for rear fill sound not bass.

thats were round speakers are better as6*9s are made for bass so having round speakers would be alot louder and ud get the mid bass from the speakers!

i agree a set of 6 1/2 inch comps wud be better, 6mm will be fine if u support it properly
