Ok, so i see all these different sizes on sites (eg, 7 x 16", 7.1/2 x 16", 8 x 16") i dont really understand what id need for a corsa. id like 15's or 16s?

You shold get away with 16"s, 15s won't scrub definitely.
There ET45mm, Vauxhalls like ET49mm so your 4mm 'sticking out' I think MM alloys are 7 inches wide, so don't lower it stupidly and youu should be ok. Most ppl on here recommend 17s if your going for looks, but be prepared for de-bolting your arches and some minor arch work - but this depends on lowering - which you will have to do also in order to keep handling and to avoid the 'monster truck effect'.
