right it wasnt the gearbox or the clutch after all like the mechanic who helped me out said, it was the nearside driveshaft,
its being replaced on monday so wont make it to the show
just hope it has only sheared off and not done any damage inside the box!
also what could be the problems to the petrol gauge not working??

nearside? would that be passenger side?
if so was it the inner cv joint?

petrol gauge not working is THE SENDER UNIT
My went on me nova just had it replaced

yes the passenger side, gone on the inner cv joint where it goes into the box
sender unit?? not dodgy connection to dash?
how much a sender unit and where does it fit to?

dunnp how many inner cv joints i replaced, but seems urs is a 1.6 i dunno why urs has gone, if it was a 2 litre i could understand it

well with the 19's and 150 bhp, it does torque steer, is this a common problem then??

im guessing its quite low too?
when ya hit a bump, it literally pulls the driveshaft out of the inner joint, and smashs it into bits
dont worry thou - ya will get changing 1 down to about 20 mins soon

Was £50 and £30 fitting for me MK2 nova.
So dunno on corsa?

its down 60mm, going up 20mm so will be 40mm lowered,
i hope it wont go too often? i take it that on more powerful corsas they often go?
is it worth sourcing some 2ltr or rally ones?

if ya taking it up to 40mm - ya wont have no problems with it happening again

ah right thats good then, was getting it raised as it rubs like hell at the back with 2 people in car when you boot it, glad that will stop the problem then!!

do i get standard driveshafts or are there any rally or 2ltr ones that are stronger??
