what do you guys wash the car with

i have not taken my car to a car wash as i hear they use wax and then you get lots of little stratches

i just hand wash it - bought some car wash stuff the other day but did not realise it had wax in it - dont know if it makes any different but it needed cleaning

maybe its just me being crap at cleaning cars but i was it and then before i know it is almost all dry and streaks everywhere

tips?

Polish, wax whatever after.
