I need to know if a 1.6 16v engine from an P reg Astra will go into an L reg GSI Corsa without mods?

well the gsi's had belt driven (fluid) powersteering, so if thats the same id imagine yes as its the same engine

Will proablably be an X16XEL hig torque version.

It will go in yes, but a few things may need to be changed (i.e the engine i bought had a hydrolic clutch and mine was cable).

£450 seems a lot of money, i only paid homo106 £300 odd quid, then sold it, and he gave me some money back So i made money on it.

Still, i wasn't fussed
