You can't, because the engine is running when you "set it up" to remote-start......you get out the car and arm the alarm, with the engine running (it stops itself after about 10-15 seconds).

Then, when you come to remote-start, voila...

Unless another alarm-system has "true" remote-start, then it has to be set up first rather than just walking out your door and starting the engine.
