Noonster if it has to let through 70% light you can therefore have you windows tinted by 30% this will let the 70% light through. Okay.
I have light smoke on the front and a medium smoke about 35% on back had no problems ever. Just don't give the police any reason to pull you over and you won't get done.

The legal limit is:
85% light throught the front windows,
35% light through on the back.
As pictured above

Spoke to the company thats doing the tints, and they said I can have.
20% tints on the backs and 33% on the fronts like I wanted, and it wont be illegal.
They said obviously if Im bombing around at 90mph and driving dangerously, the police will pull be over and be wankers about it, and make me pull them off whether they are illegal or not.
But just driving around normally and sensibly they wont care as Im not causing a problem
So basically roll on October 4th

OH above 20% means 20% light coming in, same for the 33%. Just thought I would let you know.

Your choice of tint shades are:
· Extra light - 50% Visible Light Transmittance (VLT)
· Light (35% VLT)
· Medium (20% VLT)
· Dark (5%VLT = Limo black).
Our film grade is a neutral grey/black named - Sunguard PerformX Steel.
On ALL vehicles we only fit our light shade of tint (35% VLT) to the front drivers & passenger doors, this is for your safety and visibility reasons.

Different where Im getting mine done, they have 4 different shades of tint then it breaks down to light, medium, dark, limo.
And then each has different VLT.

it depends on angle u look at it, if u look at it from front, the front side windows are darker cos the rear screen is letting small amount of light in, but if u look at it from the back towards the front, it seems there is no tint in front windows as lots of light is comin in from the untinted front screen

This is vbery correct
i have dark smoke all round which ruffly lets 60ish% of light thru all round.
i think cars look stupid if u get darker tints at the back than the front cos u will see this.
on mine, my front 2 windows look slightly lighter because the sunlight is cumming in thru the windscreen.
get the same percentage all round.
