Should I get a C20XE before I get a new Corsa to do the conversion to, so it gives me time to do a full rebuild to the engine & get it all sorted, or should I get the Corsa first, and just let it sit on the drive for ages until I've got the 2ltr & rebuilt it to be dropped in?

should not be too hard to get a 2.0L. if you have the cash look for both

There are lots of both about so its up to you which one you go for first. Personally i'd go for the engine then the car.

cant afford both in one go though, reason I'm wondering is cos the 2ltr's gona be rebuilt nomatter what condition its in

Maybe better 2 get the engine 1st, give u time to get it re-done and longer to look for a decent Corsa to put it in

well I know what model, 93-97 8v SRI with mechanical speedo, needs good bodywork & interior & if pref a knackered engine to keep the cost down
