I changed from 2000 to XP y'day once u have down loaded the 29fix patches and sp1 for it, its good.

Yes i feel it is a good op sys, its designed to work well within a win 2k enviornment so i think more companies should go with xp pro instead of 2k now.

XP is a crackin OS, far better than 2000 or ME iv got xp on home pc but 2000 on laptop for work

its an easy system to configure, code and rip to shreds when ya bored, i find the administrational system tools helpfull and the network sut up great, the firewalls a bag o wank and the americanised first install (keyboard setting n clock) the start menus crap till you remove a few clutered things and the home edition was poo and not a stadle compaired to the pro edition, the msblaster virus was a joke and im surprised xp as a fresh state is to vunable to this act of wankery. overall i like it but its nothing great enough to write a huge post about it....
hmmmm, think i just contradicted myself there.

Don't use it and won't use it untill i really have to, Windows 2000 Professional +sp4+whatever does the job fine since day1.

I used this, upgraded to XP Pro with service pack 1 and all 29 hot fix patches I perfer this now, Im a changed man.

I use XP Home on my home PC, and Win2k on my work PC, although my work PC has a better hardware spec, it's actually slower than my home PC.
Probably to do with all the networking crap it runs, and nothing to do with the OS really.
