then we heard it had been diverted to another airport so wasnt landin at 5.30 so we moved to another bit to watch one take off at 6.30 but it was gettin dark so this is only best pic we got really

I used to have to drive on that very same road every day on my way to work (used to work in Feltham, which is also near Heathrow).

Police like hiding on that particular road with their speed guns!

I can't remember which terminal it is, but if you go near the British Midland (BMI) hangar where the planes sometimes cross the road ( ) you should be able to see planes and that land from there, as there are usually loads of planespotters round there. Dunno where you would park though!

Every time the barriers are opened for the planes and the cars have to wait, they gotta wait for at least 5 minutes before they can go through again! This is fun at 8:30am when you are trying to get to work - NOT!
