drilled my air box a few months ago and put a k&n panel filter in it. i also took out the arch lining and put some cold air feeds in these. i found it great, a better sound but not too great. so i put the arch liner in and it sounded a lil bit deeper. then i thought of making more holes in the box, took it out and instead of drilling more holes i joined them up with a jigsaw!
heres some pics below to show wher i cut, now they are big holes, like on the side there is a square but. the inverted parts are when i cut:
i have also removed the piping from inside the box so the air is more distributed
now the sound is MUCH deeper and throaty and it sounds less raspy between 5&6000 rpm

ur not suposed to drill the top ov the box as theres no point havin a filter in now coz the air aint goin thru the filter!

no no no, ur not getin what i meant! i haven cut the TOP of the filter, just the box part, under the filter. basically its a drilled air box with rectangles instead of holes!

na, im not THAT dim. but yeh, it does sound soooo much beta, every1 thats heard it thinks its an improvemwnt. haven really noticed a difference in performance, not that id b able 2 anyway!
