I ordered broadband a while ago, and it was supposed to be connected on the 9th... well they said I had DACS (line splitting) on my line, and so they needed to send a engineer to remove that first before I could be connected. Well Today was the day that I was supposed to be connected and I've been waiting all day for a engineer to come, rang up earlier moaning saying 'Why hasn't an engineer come yet to remove my splitter' and they said 'Oh one will come soon' - well still no engineer and my line is still split, but I thought hmm lets just see what happens when I plug into my main line - so I've run a huge extension cable to my main telephone line (rather than the split line near PC) - and rofl I'm on broadband... I've been using poxy 56k all day and I could of been using this doh!

Seems a bit buggy, maybe coz its still on a splitter? for example I couldn't access corsasport in Internet Explorer? - kept throwing up a page not available thing - so I just used netscape. Hehe this is cool, listening to internet radio, downloading and surfing the net - something that couldn't be done with 56k!

ah cool got it sorted!

Finally - ADSL... the thing is, I've been wanting this for years - and been stuck on having to download stuff with 56k overnight and such... but for ages it said my exchange wasn't updated - then for another amount of time it said I was out of range... then just bored I checked it and it said 'I may be able to get it'
