does anybody know what derived mean means on SPSS? we have to "obtain the derived mean and also the 95% confidence limits by back transformation" (remember that + and - log10 values become x and / back transformed values).

I think it's somthing to do with the flight path of the pigeon mate....Allow me to explain...

The pigeons inner rader can detect if an object is within 10 metres away therfore giving it ample time to swerve if you will.

Just say a clown is walking down the street with 237 ballons of various colours.Pigeon goes to fly into them and walla! It misses them.It don't even matter what colour the ballons are.

For more info the University of Cambridge has detailed papers and surveys on the subject.

spss is a computer program used for pysychology!
The derived mean is basically the average.
