Don't be shallow Steve. This is about what you want, not what you think your mates will approve of.

And yes, even if she isn't comfortable with the idea at first there's only time between that and her being OK with it. That and her possibly being more realistic than you of course.

I'm always dubious when decisions are made in absence, especially when you're talking about exes. Did you not prove that it wasn't to be? Did you not make quite the opposite decision when you were with her and in an objective position not a cloudy subjective rose-tinted one?

It might amount to nothing. And that's wasted her time and yours. Think about that.

Yeah - you were young, skint, bored, firey, immature, untrustworthy, dumb, greedy and all the other things that kill relationships.

Its worth revisiting certain things some of the time if that changes. Don't rule anything out.

Totally agree with that. Things shouldn't be dismissed quickly as a permenant solution, things and people do change, so never say never IMO
