The owner of Direct Line and Esure is setting up a new insurer called First Alternative. It is to cater for all performance car owners who are paying through the roof for premiums. Theyre hoping they will be cheaper due to the fact they will be basing the company around esure so wont have to go through brokers. The company is likely to be set up early 2004.
