yes. I know that for a 20XE conversion in a Nova, the enginebay has to be strengthened.

yes it was a new designed chassis. the facelift has been tweaked apparently.

Because they developed the shell to be stronger through new ideas/design methods and by looking at the Nova (Corsa A) and identifying possible improvements.
Hence, the whole point of design is to improve previous items so that they do their function better.
