The thing you get on mountain bikes. They are like to round speedo looking things, but they tell you what gear you in. And when the change gear the dial goes up of down???

na m8, they are the gears on your handle bars. These thing a like speedo dials but tell ya what gear your in.

its called a gear shifter if u mean the thing that sits on ur handle bars and when u wanna change gear u move it down an to got down a gear u move it up...

they are attached to the shifter, ull need new shifters

I know you can mate I used to have some Shimano STX-RC jobbies years ago that had them? Don't know if they still do those ones?

My last bike had the Shimano XTR groupset and those shifters had the display too

Nah ditch the gripshifts dude, they'll be the thumb and forefinger type shifer, lines up next to your brake levers. Much better IMO

Ah coolio

If you're really going for it, I'd recommend the XTR stuff. Tis pricey as it's the top end Shimano kit, but superb quality. When I bought mine the shifters were £90

i got the lx ones for mine, work just as well, had a full xt group set other than them and the brakes which were m600 red v brakes, were wikid but thats about 5years ago now!
