I believe you need to take the glove box completey out. there are 4 philips screws that release the front of it.

You will then need to unplud the wires from the back of the unit

right stick 4 rods into the standard vaux unit. there should be four holes at each corner of the system. this should unclip the unit from behind.

then pull it out. it might be a tight fit cause it's probably never been taken out.

unplug the headunit from behind (it's just a wiring block) then follow the cd auto changer lead to the back of the car. this may require lifting the carpet and taking some bits off, but it's quite easy.

like above... its easy really.

remove thechanger from the glove box by unplugging it all.
unscrew the glove box and pull it out.
stick lil coat hanger wires into the release holes.
jiggle stereo about a wee bit.
grab hold and pull out.
feed all changer wires through until everything is out.

it doesnt take long, kerry.

i aint no expert at electrics but once you see where all the wires go, its straight forward. plus if its a standard vx hu then it might be a plug and play one, therefore wont be many wires.

give it a bash

I think.. the bracket which holds the cd autochange in the glovebox is screwed or attached to the back of the glovebox somehow, I understand that to get to the screws you need to remove the glovebox, maybe wrong but thats how vaux done mine
