yeah affraid not mate

You could try ringing your ins company and ask them if they'll add the car to the policy short term 3rd party only (if you're mate doesn't mind it being stolen and not paid for ) some places will do it some won't

hmm turns out i am insured to drive it, but the car must not be allowed to be left unattended on a public road.

so basically if i get stopped by the fuzz, and asked to step out of the car they can do me for the car being unattended!!

nah it seems fair enough

basically u are covered to drive it on ure insurance but if somethin happened when noone was in it then it would be on the owners insurance and as he doesnt have any.....

makes sense to me

think of it this way, if it got stolen who would make the claim, u or him??

Think it all depends on what the ins company say Marv, they all seem to have different views on this

as they do on most other things

its always best to check with ure insurance before gettin in any car if ure unsure of the cover. i mean people presume that once u reach a certain age u are automatically covered for any car but alot of companies have abolished this now.

just as a matter of interest my policy renewed before i was 25 but i sent amended my reg recently and when they sent me a new policy it had been amended to cover me for any car third party only now im over 25
