First off..
Hey everybody
Right, here's the lowdown.. I insured my 1.6 16v 2002 Astra SXi with LV for just over a grand almost a year ago and i was chuffed cos i thought that was cheap for me. Anyways the astra was recently stolen and not recovered...LV were great, got a hire car and they paid out promptly.
However, a couple of months have passed and i've sorted out my next car....ordered a corsa c 1.4 SRi in black So there's me thinking insurance wont be a problem as the corsa is the same group as the astra and even has less power. Call them up, reel off all the details and they tell me its gonna cost £2100!! I even rang up twice so i could speak to a different person to make sure no mistakes were made...but no luck
Anyways, can anyone recommend an 'nice' (if there is such a thing) insurance company so i dont have to cancel the corsa...there's no way i'm paying 2k
Any comments welcome..and thanks if u actually read all that lol
P.S its good to be back!

you could try HIC but if anything happens to the car you wont have as such an easy time as you did with LV - HIC apparently only pay out after they've tried every other trick in the book
u need to be 19 aswell

How old are you mate? Have you considered an Sxi with free insurance? They do a 1.4 sxi now too so if you're planning on doing it up the fact its an sxi rather than an sri wont matter cos both have a good interior spec too

If you have had your car stollen, especially a new car worth a bit of dollar you are going to struggle to get a good quote because they see you as a higher risk.
