1.2 Ls with carb? Most people will back all corsas have injection.
Yes you can fit induction. The breather pipe (hot air) gets chucked with the airbox and red cable gets taped to the body.

the pipe is for the cold start. on the airbox there is valve. It opens the valve on cold start up so air is used form the exhaust section (as this will be warmer) to heat up the engine more quickly. Just take the box off and put a screw in the redpipe and put it somewhere safe in the engine bay

what will the screw do? what adverse effects will you have if you dont block up the hole

basically the screw blocks up the hole. I don't know how true this is but i found my car jerked alot when setting off. the only thing i could chanage was to make sure the red pipe line was blocked at the end as i could feel it sucking air in. it seeemed to cure the problem anyway.

Im very confused here. There was a very limited run of Carb 1.2 engined Corsas, but these were only fitted to the Merits. Secondly, you say you have an airbox, so it must be fuel injection!

Dont bother fitting an induction kit to a 1.2 8v. It will zap power + torque away from the engine.
Keep the standard air box, drill the sides and fit a K+N panel filter inside.
