Im not so sure Top Gear would be pleased to see this lil baby going for a few grand since they spent 100k modding it!

They sey they spent 100k on it but the majority of that money was on the labour costs of the Lotus boys. Could have got it done a whole load cheaper elsewhere but then it wouldn't have been a Lotus Lada.
Still a sweet motor though!

no it is the ancient fiat twin cam design 2.0 16v n/a on twin webber carbs.
The bloke must be pretty desperate to sell it for that price.

I'm afraid I cannot offer the car with any MOT or tax due to financial and time constraints
very suspicious, obviously needs money spending to pass mot.

Its a total con.
The photos shown are professionally taken, with the car posed like that - plus the engine bay photo looks to be take in the workshop of Lotus. I think they have found the pics from the BBC website.
Plus the mileage is 38000 - a fooking lot since it was only rebuilt last year or so and Lotus would have definately zero'd the counter.
And the most obvious...such a low price for a collectors car and CASH ONLY
Buy it and notice when you go to pay/collect there are 20 big blokes craking their fists, ready to "recieve your cash" and no car to be seen.
Shame though.
