The £289 includes nationwide fitting, so i guess u also have to include that.
I was searching for an alarm for months (i posted on here loads), and i can tell you now, there was no where on the net u could get that toad for anything less than £289. And not one person off this site could suggest any places that were cheaper.
Plus, i dont see it being exactly the same alarm for £250 fitted 2 years ago, coz the toad range was updated this year!
I've not experienced a toad alarm, but my dad and I both have cliffords, and they are extremely good. No false alarms, no probs at all. easy to use etc. However, at the end of the day, both alarms do roughly the same, both expandable and more importantly both covered by gaurentee + nationwide call out if u get problems (mines 2 year, dunno bout toad)

in Bristol I've phoned around quite a bit and I can only find them for £350 fitted which I know is a rip off coz I can buy them from a shop without fitting for £155 but then no where will fit it for me unless I've bought it from them :s

Fitting is everything.
To get a auto electrician to fit an alarm he doesnt have any experience with, or has ever fitted before, is a bad idea. Toads and cliffords are sensitive to how well they are fitted.
It pays to get it done by pro's who have done it 100's of times before.
The guy who did mine was excellent, i checked some of the connections and they are excellent. U cant tell where he's removed any trim or anything. I dont mind paying the extra for that!!

agreedyou will pay allot in labour, i must have paid at least 100 in labour, but for a quality job, and he took his time, its worthit. 100 in labour is like 2 1/2 hous in a garage. thats fuck all for abut 4 hours work
