the bonnet dont fly open
yes they are worth it if ya bonnet opens at high speed itll write the shell off!! -- ie crease the roof

i might get some, wiv the bonnet being fible glass i had the idea of,

bonnet pins but no catch induer the good.

ie wen you undo the bonnet pins you go into the car pull the leaver and the bonnet will raise up on its own due to the bonnet struts..

i'd rather the bonnet stay where it is though than fly up & smash the screen n no doubt cause me to spin out & hit a wall or somethin at around 100mph!

vaux wud have made bonnest with pins on if they thought that there catches werent safe! and u shudnt be doing 100mph

Bonnet pins are for competition cars so that the bonnet can be held down properly as its physically impossible for them to let the bonnet open - unless they havent been fitted correctly. They are safer than standard fixings.

They are also a replacement for the usual opening mech. as having to jump out the car to fix a problem, then running back into the car to pop the bonnet wastes time for team and driver.

well i'm toying with completely removing the existing bonnet latch / popping system in favour of a set of pins

£5 eh... any pics of em or they same as the standard types?

why dont you get a fibreglass bonnet form motorsportdirect, tis £100 uses original hinges, but need pis to hold it down

yeah and like it should have a 150bhp+ 2.0 16v engine in there awell

ive seen a crosa breaking coz the bonnet flew up and bust it

how much do ya reckon a fibreglass bonnet would weigh? there is no weight details about them

I know the standard bonnet isn't that heavy, but could be improved upon

at least half the weight, this has'nt got a stell frame like others, so will be very light
