Sat at my desk, doing my work, i look across the street and some guy has collapsed. So i run out and see that one guy is trying to help and loads of people are just stood there watching

Put him in recovery position and call ambulance, ambulance come and try and resusitate him, they guy went blue/purple and i dont know if hes dead or alive

I come back into work, get on with what i was doing.

Now my hands wont stop shaking and i feel sick

some one tell me this is normal

In Wiltshire (SC)

I felt really bad because his wife was there and she looked like she was going into shock and i couldnt help them both at the same time.

Im pissed off because im sure that some one else that was first aid trained like me, or knew a bit about it that could of helped.

Hell of a brave thing to do, to be able to compose yourself to act. Both my parents are nurses and seen them on a few occasions when we've just been out have to do something like that, like when a kid was knocked down on my way to school. Dad just stopped in the middle of the road, gave me his keys and made me move the car while he went to the boy, I would of just froze.

If you ring the local hospitals and explain they will or at least should tell you how he is. Also, if you feel shook up and sick then cant you explain to your boss? Might be able to go home and have a lie down.

Well done though.

yeah ally, well done for acting straight away. Imagine how much worse you would feel if you did nothing at all like all the other people. you gave that man a chance to live, which is incredible. Que sera, sera, but dont let it get you down.
