whats the legality with not having a spare wheel? do i HAVE to have one?

i don't think my spare is the same size as my others anymore, so it's just sitting in the back for no reason.

can i take it out?

no you don't need one.even for a mot if it's the standard 15" rim it will still be the same rolling distance as your 17's

it's actually hard to tell when you have a flat on 17's because of the profile on the tyres you couldn't tell on mine.it was only when i checked the tyre pressures that i noticed it was at 8psi

ooooooooooo did not know that.

so if you hide all the problem spots on your car with carpet, they can't check it right?
then again... you might fail for it

nevermind

PLEASE NOTE THAT:

Greenflag, RAC and On-Time WILL NOT come to ur car if u have a puncture, and u dont have a spare.

Each of these company's polices state that, if you do not have a road worth spare tyre, they will not attempt to assist you.

How i know? My bro had a blow out on the motorway in his Nova. He had just finished his full PERMANENT install (where he had removed the spare wheel) RAC told him to SOD OFF over the fone. They wudnt send any one out, not even to tow him. When he got home he checked through the policy, as well as a few other companies to see who he should switch to, but the above all state the same thing. He didnt check AA, but i guess its the same thing.

I suggest all u lot with break down cover thinking ur "safe", shud check ur policies!!
