hey everyone ... i noticed recently that a lot of people are going down the road of subtle (spelling) styling

the plans i have for my next car aren't subtle at all ... to be honest it's going to look as subtle as a brick

why do a lot of people not like big kitted up cars if they have some performance to them too?

... any comments are great

bit of both i reckon! mine is quite subtle but sometimes i wonder if its too subtle. Its hard to find the line between balls out and OTT.

dont understand why people pay to make their cars slower, waste money, and have a car that 85% of people over the age of 20 wont like.
just my opinion before you go off on one.
most body mods are a very personal taste thing.

i think mags like max power incourage big gay OTT kits, and then people with no sense go out and make the same thing, and put alot of other people off going down the kitted route

at the mo ive got psg 2 wide arch kit, 18s, coilovers, 2x 5" slash cut exhaust, light smoke tints, i love it, but seriously considering selling up, and going euro on another corsa + engine work

If u gotta car that has good perfromance why spoil it with a big kit and wheels not to mention slow it down, just a few mods to suite the 'not so kitted' look and encourage performance mods as opposed to body mods

yeah i think max power and that lot do encourage ott and big kitted cars and however much i like to see a nice subtle fast car it is also good when i see a car which makes me stop for a sec to figure out what make it actually is?!?!

... i think u only live once so u should turn as many heads as possible ... at the moment i'm just planning to have one big kitted car cos i have the rest of my life to have performance!

I hate kits or any bodystyling in general now. Brakes/engine mods are the only thing I'd do to a car now

Depends on the car / how old you are.

My corsa was subtle, was always tempted to throw a big kit on but never did (then crashed it)

Got my Megane Coupe and have been adding bits and bobs over the last few months.

Yup.

Mines fairly subtle, 16"s, a smaller kit, and im going for the euro type effect as i want my car totally clean (eventually ). The euro cars have so much attention to small detail. Over here its stick a big kit on, spray it, big wheels, and a big exhaust and its cool. For some maybe, but im into the detail. The cars are fantastic, perfectly clean.

i think it depends a lot on the car. I like the ott on corsa b's, as the subtle stuff just seems too boring for me. But the new corsas deserve a more subtle apporach with imerscher stuff, im yet to find a new corsa with a big kit that i like.

im thinking about buying a mk2 golf which ill take down the subtle route if i mod, whereas my corsas turning mental

subtle doesnt have to mean standard---you wouldnt believe the time and expense that goes into getting some euro cars as clean as possible

shopping trolleys with kits look gay as.

Euro just looks stupid but then so are most of the locals.

And Daimo

Dunno how to describe mine. Its kinda subtle, but there are a few pretty mad things, like the bonnet or the paint... I think on a Corsa this is the best way to go. Or go balls out, but make it look nice. Theres one thing to have a madly kitted Corsa, but it's another to get it look sexy... Its a medium that people are having trouble finding, which is why there are quite a few odd looking cars about...
