Sure this engine is ok?
There was a recall in the UK with faulty valve-stems, they kinda 'snap'
Agree though, there has to be some sort of TB kit available or in development!

unfortunately, when it comes to recalls, vauxhall beats every other manufacturer out there with how much it has cost in the past to right some wrongs

There not actaully. Not by a fair way.
As with all 16v vauxhall units, best way to go is either new inlet manifold such as the new Mantzel box they have out for them, or go one better and look at throttle bodies.

depends what you want to spend. Dbilas inlet manifold around 20hp. mix with a cam and a UNICHIP or other mapping should give good gains.

I remember an article in auto express, and out of the top5 biggest recall cock-ups was vauxhall with 3 of them, including top spot. That was with a seat rail failure on early corsas i think. Cost huge amounts to rectify.

Mine had this defect, took them the best part of 5 mins to sort out think all they did was either welded something or twatted something with a hammer!
Best is, the seat they sorted the frikin mounting point came off the floor about 3 months later & vaux wouldn't do a thing about it

Would've though inlet, full exhaust, cam, unichip would've seen about 155-160 dependant on how well the 1.8 responds to inlet?
