Does anyone know of any insurance companys that will insure 17/18 year olds on modified cars.
So far i have tried
Adrian Flux won't quote
HIC won't quote
Prestige won't quote
4youngdrivers.com £1700 unmodified
liverpool victoria £3000
And a few more that i've forgotten.
Has anyone got any ideas?

alright mate,
im 17 and im insured through adrian flux. when i took up the policy they said they wouldnt let me do any mods, but im hopin trhey might move one that one 
4YoungDrivers gave me a quote through some company that would ionsure me with mods. however 4youngdrivers are a set of toerags. absolute monkeys. they quoted me on the phone 1800£ for a policy that lets me do any mods at no extra charge. b4 i took it up, i though i best check with the manager, who told me that infact the quote of £1800 wasa for third party only insurance, and didnt cover any mods. 
try www.4youngdrivers.com but just be careful and watch your back when dealing with them

How modified? Body mods shouldnt be too bad, engine mods will put it up alot.

yeah im with liverpool vic mate and im 17, they aint bothered about body mods at all.

adrian flux said they won't insure anyone under 19 on a modified car. i'm trying 4youngdrivers at the moment.

I got my MR2 when I was 19 and it is group 17 and I wasnt paying as much. £1600 with 0NCB valued at £10k FC in My own name. Now I wouldnt pay over £1k cos its just a rip off!

forgot to mention i have one claim pending on an accident that wasn't my fault but the only insurance company i could claim of was mine. That is on another car that i am a named driver on. I think this is why liverpool victoria quote was high, because i can't get the introductory discount.

colin - what compnay were u with on ur mr2, the best quote ive found was 1800quid at 19 but thats under my dads name, so how is urs so cheap ?

That was with Elephant, 2nd year it was £1k and next year around £600/£700.
