Cars An 8v, got cat back exhaust, k+n, drilled airbox had head skimmed and runs nice just now, but i know i shudnt have beaten him

plugs were the right colour but had heavy crumbly deposits on em... i'm blamin it on shite fuel, dont think they were in rite either... when i put it back together i sorted an anoyin whistling sound i've bin gettin.

I use optimax and it does make a differencewith this engine, took the cylinder head off after approx 10,000 miles use with optimax and the engine was in good condition and very clean, does what it says on the tin so i'll keep using it!

i was shocked at this post cos i raced what i thought was an escort GTI yesterday in my GSI, which is good for over 140BHP, i couldnt catch him he couldnt pull away it was neck and neck racing all the way to 120MPH then i realised it was pointless and backed off, seen him this morning and had a closer look at his car its an RS2000, feel quite proud of that one hehe

thats a different kettle of fish monkey! RS2000's are quite rapid. GTi's are not.

optimaxis good fuel but apparently you should only use it 1 in 4 tankfulls as itisn;t great for CATs.

however i use it all the time.
