And he is based in Kent
And will cahrge £1500-£1600 odd for a 1 week drive in drive out conversion.

No more conversions until after PVS on 6th June though.

I believe, and don't quote me on this, you get hubs, shafts, mounts, roll bar spacers, C20xe, loom and fitting.

Price is dependant on engine tho

Engine conversion only. Bear in mind mounts, shafts etc all come to like £600-£700, then the engine cost, then the effort to put it all in after he come s home from work.

Brakes and suspension can be done for more ££

brakes is a piece of piss to fit anyway, and if you get a donor car you dont even need to pay for them

Well it's negotiable in the price. if you think about it whilst he is donig the shafts and hubs you could get new brakes done so the labour charge will be alot cheaper

Basically yeah. You take your car down there, leave it with him, pick it up 5-7 days later with a 2.0 16v (or whatever) instead. As said, if you wanted better brakes (such as Astra GTE or V6) then you can either source them yourself and pay lee to fit them or pay lee to purchase and fit them. same goes for the suspension.

COnsider it like a new car, u pay X to get it then x for all the extras

I'd say its £1500 very well spent. Not amazing, but SO much more fun. Plus normal corsas/saxos/pugs etc all get left behined

Your up to Escort RS/Nearly scooby (if you strip it right out) pace

0-60 about 7-8 seconds depending on wheel size,weight etc top end of about 140 again depends on setup.

You'll accelerate quicker with 15's on... Smaller rolling radius, lighter wheel -- easier for the engine to turn...

should be past RST's and up (on the move 60-100mph) with only the bug eyed 215hp scooby all the rest are faster unless you've reduced weight a lot

It will be noticable -- don't ask me to quantify that precisely though. An example: a fully stripped 2.0 16v corsa with proper light-weight 15's will do a 1/4 mile in 14.4 secs. A un-stripped Corsa on 17's is probably only capable of a 1/4 in 15 secs+.

Any Corsa will be fine. A 1.0 12v will be fine, but bear in mind there are other differences with the car.

Power steering in later Corsas is electronic (actually a motor on the steering column), and so is easily wired back up...

My only problem with 17's would simply be that you're trying to build a 'performance' corsa... why ruin the handling and acceleration?
