This probably wont apply to most of you on here, but the people who run diesel cars - would you run your car on pink diesel? You know, the same stuff boats run on. So tempting at 30p a litre, but naughty.

some bird at school did it, because she lives on a farm, but when the car went in for a MOT the pink diesel dyed the engine a pinkish colour and they reported her/family in I think she got fined pretty badly though...something like a grand or something silly

Got shed loads of the stuff... Live on a farm... But a) I don't, and probably never will own a diesel, and b) it stains a part of the engine and when it comes to MOT time they check it...

How often do u get pulled ? In my 12 months driving i've not once been pulled and almost hit 2 Police cars

It would be tempting if i had a diesel at 30p a litre.

Anyone who knows what they are looking for. It's pink for a reason, so that it PERMENANTLY dyes your fuel system, it cannot be cleaned off...

I'm not sure what parts though. I was told this by me mechanic. I'm guessing parts like the fuel filter and fuel lines e.t.c... Not sure where the look, but apparently they check for it...

My mate works at a marina aswell so can get it for around 20p a litre. That means a full tank is around a 10er. It feels so right, but feels so wrong

Or you could fill your car up with aviation fuel (avgas). That is genuine RON 100 fuel It costs about £1 per litre though

You can run jet engines on diesel... I wonder if you could run a diesel on jet fuel?
