Actually, was chatting with someone who was actually displaying colour-changing paint last year at Max Power, they had a few samples of "bodywork" there that was doing it (remember the old Technicolour T-shirts that changed colour in heat - same principle as those)......but they had a long way to go, because they said the colour-changing facility in the paint only lasted for 3-6 months before it reverted permanently back to the base colour of that paint.

While it worked, though, it did change colour...

Then again, it could just be the BBC's view on flip-paint!
