There are enough quality lakes in your area too, I was fishing over in Huntingdon yesterday and landed 21 carp to 18lbs in a day session!

take a float rod to a lake and catch some perch - thats where most of us started!

I havent been in years but want to get back into it as I still have all my stuff in mums shed Im with Ditch grab a float rod and some maggots and get down to the nearest lake and have a bash!! Your local tackle shop with give you plenty of advice on local venues and how best the tackle them

I used to go up Reepham Pits Luke, ya been there? Quality for 1st time fishers like me as you catch a lot most of the time, best catch I had was a mirror carp, quite big too

Yeah I go there a fair bit, there is a bigger slightly harder gravel pit in Booton that holds some bigger carp, my best is 29lb from there

A simple float road and reel and some floats, line and hooks ect can be got from a local tackle shop, pop in and have a chat with them im sure they'll help you A perch is a small freshwater fish
